ARTISTOBER

This is a challenge I came up with, to paint a picture in the style of a different artist every day for a month. It began in October 2023 and these are the first 31 artists, which were then collected in a book called Art is for Everyone.

I started with names I was familiar with but gradually branched out into those I’d only heard of in passing. As someone who didn’t go to art school, this was an incredibly fun way to learn about the masters of the past and pick up a few new techniques along the way, and it was so touching to see others follow along on social media, making artworks of their own.
